1. Minutes.

The Minutes of the 169th Meeting were approved.

2. Hudson Bay Marine Insurance Rates (vide paragraph 6 of

Minutes of 169th Meeting).

The Chairman read a letter which he had sent to Mr. Ferguson (the High Commissioner for Canada) suggesting

that, unless the question were a practical one in the sense

that there were several ships for charter during the present

season, it would be better not to attempt to modify the agreed

requirements at the moment. The letter also explained that

the Chairman of the Joint Hull Committee had been advised that the question was likely to be raised later and suggested that

he should indicate the kind of information which would be

required by his Committee, assuming they accepted the principle
